Tammy has always known that she was meant to work with animals in some form or another. Plus, she’s had a passion for medicine ever since she can remember. For Tammy, a career in the veterinary field is truly a dream come true! She is a Registered Veterinary Technician here at Faulkville Animal Hospital.
A Savannah native, Tammy studied at Ogeechee Technical College and holds an Associate’s degree in veterinary technology. After graduation, she was required to intern at an animal clinic for 400 hours—that’s when she signed on here at Faulkville Animal Hospital. Upon completing her requirements, Tammy was offered a job. She’s been a member of the clinic family since 2013.
Here at the hospital, Tammy enjoys placing catheters, trimming ear hairs, and cleaning tartar off of pets’ teeth. She is particularly partial to Dachshunds—if there is a Dachshund in the building, Tammy is the go-to girl!
Tammy lives in Springfield with her husband and two sons. The family shares their lives with five cats—Tiny Lil Kitty, Cuteface, Sophie, Jinxy, and Chipper—as well as a Chihuahua mix named Scout; Dixie the bulldog mix; a Dachshund/Maltese cross named Daisy; a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix who goes by Benji; Papillion mix Cocoa; and Charlotte, a longhaired Dachshund.
