Dr. Marshall Moore has spent time around dogs ever since he was young, and has worked with and handled them for as long as he can remember. For him, a career in veterinary medicine was the perfect way to spend time with the animals he loves so much while using his skills to better the lives of others!
Dr. Moore grew up in Brooklet, Georgia and earned his degree in animal science from the University of Georgia in 2004. After a brief stint as a horse trainer, he moved back home and started working at a Statesboro animal hospital while applying to veterinary school. A year later, he moved to Athens and completed his veterinary degree in 2009. That spring, Dr. Moore and his wife moved back to Brooklet, and he continued working at the Statesboro practice before joining the Faulkville Animal Hospital family in the fall of 2013.
Dr. Moore has a particular passion for surgery and strives to continue expanding his surgical knowledge daily. He’s also fond of preventative medicine; if he can prevent a pet from becoming ill in the first place, Dr. Moore knows that he’s done his job!
Dr. Moore, his wife Amanda, and their daughters Hartley and Merritt live in Brooklet with their two dogs, Maddie and Sassy. When time permits between work, family life, and his commitments to his local church, Dr. Moore enjoys renovating his home and finding endless DIY projects to complete with his wife.
