Dr. Kaitlyn Neumann has always had a love for animals, especially horses. Her passion for veterinary medicine began at just 7 years old. A friend’s horse was injured in such a way that it would require ongoing daily care. The attending veterinarian showed young Kaitlyn how to care for the wound and she helped do so daily until the horse was healed. From that day on, Dr. Neumann was determined to become a veterinarian herself.
Dr. Neumann grew up in Bluffton, SC, and showed horses on the hunter/jumper circuit from a young age. She also loves chickens and once showed a chicken at the South Carolina State Fair. She earned her degree in animal & veterinary science from Clemson University. She then attended her clinical studies at Iowa State University graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and joined the Faulkville Animal Hospital team in 2018.
At work, Dr. Neumann enjoys the excitement and variety in seeing all kinds of patients; dogs, cats, chickens, goats, horses, cows, and getting to know the people of Bloomingdale, Guyton, and surrounding areas when she goes on farm calls. Dr. Neumann shares her home with her husband, Will, dogs Winnie, Ajax, and Mabel and Roo, the rescue kitty. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys going to the beach, boating, and horseback riding.
