The first dog that CJ ever owned came down with a serious case of parvovirus, and it broke CJ’s heart to see her beloved pet suffer. After several days at the local vet’s office, her companion made a full recovery—the experience left a permanent impression! CJ knew ever since that she would love to use her own skills and knowledge to improve the lives of others’ pets on a daily basis.
CJ grew up in Springfield and was a 17-year-old high school student when she first began working in the veterinary field. She’s been an animal-care professional ever since! CJ joined the Faulkville Animal Hospital family in April of 2016 and is proud to serve the area’s pets and animal parents as a Kennel Assistant and receptionist. Her absolute favorite part of the job is getting to greet new puppy and kitten patients, as well as their loving owners, every day.
When time allows between her shifts here at the hospital and her collegiate studies in nursing, CJ loves to spend quality time with her family at home. She’s married and has three children—Kevin, Cameron, and James—as well as several pets. The family shares their lives with four cats who go by Kit-Kat, Pig, Skrimp, and Grits. They also have a feisty American bulldog named Duke; Gambo the Chi-weenie; and a pit bull puppy named Max.
